   I have just installed WordPress on Windows Xp Pro IIS.
   I have given the wp-content and subfolders (uploads) all permissions and still i get the following error:
   Unable to create directory C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress/wp-content/uploads.
   Is its parent directory writable by the server?

   I think it has something to do with the slashes, any tips would be greatly appreciated chmod just won't fix it.

   Actually it's asking you is wp-content is writable by the webserver. May want to check that.
