I'm trying to bind links to the slides themselves, I generated the links, but I can't seem to find a way to bind them to the slide, any quick solutions?

You can see what I'm working on here
    http://zomb.wordpressgurudude.com/

You'll see there's a list of links below the slideshow, generated from the title's of each slide, the client wants the user to be able to navigate specifically to a slide.

Thanks for the help, great plugin by the way!

The slideshow doesn't have any way to be controlled from the outside yet, but I think it may be possible to use jQuery to get and set the CSS 'left' position of the absolute positioned as 'slideshow' classed element. That would be a bit hacky, though.

Another solution could be to download version 2.2.0 Beta of the slideshow plugin, which comes with pagination buttons that you can style to look like the links you're using below the slideshow at the moment.

Version 2.2.0 uses an entirely new stylesheet though, so you'd have customize the description box again. Although that should be a matter of simply copying and pasting the CSS. I like the way your description boxes look!

Why am I not able to control the size of the images.. either when added as a widget or when added to the page... it just gives me an option of the width:height ratio but does not allow to restrict the size of the width and the height. This is in Beta version 2.2.0 In the stable version, there is option to define the height and width which seems to be missing here.

    Any thoughts?

The width is automatically adjusted to the width of the element it's in, and the aspect ratio adjusts the height accordingly. However, when setting 'Shrink height when width shrinks' to 'No', you'll see the option to set a fixed height for the slideshow.

I'm about to add in a max-width option and an option to disable responsiveness. Setting these option will give you the ability to set the width as you like.

I'll let you know when the files are updated for download. Thank you very much for trying out version 2.2.0 and giving your opinion on it!

Thanks Stefan. I was hoping that I will get the option to set it manually if I select No but I do not think I received that option. I was using Chrome.

    I will check again

@Stefan: I tried again and worked perfectly as you explained. Good that I did not give up and actually decided to post :)

Looking forward to width control functionality.. any timeline for that?

I also wanted to find out whether it is possible to format the positioning of the slideshow. For example, I want the slideshow and the text right beside it

or maybe the slideshow and the text all around it...

    Hope it makes sense.

The next update should be ready for download in five hours from now. As it is a beta version it can't use WordPress' updater and has to be downloaded from my website again.

Wrapping a slideshow in text simply means wrapping a 'div' HTML element in text and there are lots of answers to that question. Wrapping text around div - StackOverdlow.

Of course being able to set a maximum width on the slideshow will help in doing so. At the moment you could wrap the slideshow in a 'div' element and give that element a fixed width, the slideshow will adjust to this width.

I have just updated the download. A maximum width can now be given to a slideshow.

Thanks Stefan. The updated plugin worked superb with proper width and height as I was expecting.
