   I just tried installing on my site here, which is hosted by StartLogic:

   http://www.mollyandstefan.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php

   If you go there, you'll see the following error message:

   "The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
   The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log."

   I *believe* that I have set up the wp-config.php file correctly, but what do I know?

   Any suggestions?

   Check the error log of the server. It may be error either in mod_rewrite configuration or PHP.

   Right. And how would I do that? I located a log in the control panel of my server, which said this:

   "66.249.71.200 - - [10/Nov/2008:10:26:57 -0500] "GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.0" 404 593 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)" 66.249.71.200 - - [10/Nov/2008:10:26:57 -0500] "GET /wedding.html HTTP/1.0" 200 1986 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)"

   ...but that's it. Thanks for your help!

   Make a habit to put the relevant part of your error message into the Search box:

   Probably, you are not the first one with that error.
