• I ran across the “comments closed” issue today on one of my sites, and found the fix for my particular situation was quite simple. I thought I should share it to save somebody some time as it seems different from anything I ran across on the forums.

    Here is what I did. In the dashboard I clicked > All Posts > Screen Options, then enabled the visibility of the “Discussion” and “Comment” tick boxes. After that I edited a post and looked to the bottom of the page and made sure they were checked (they weren’t) and hit update and the comments appeared again. Hope this helps someone.
