<style> and <script> and Are Lost When Using Sync Pull

When using Sync Pull from one installation to another, any sections enclosed in <style> or <script> are rendered as plain text (or unpredictably as a combination of plain text and links) instead of being properly treated as <style> and <script> elements. This behaviour does not exhibit on the main site from which the content is being pulled (i.e., the <style> and <script> sections on the main site are treated properly as styling and scripting).

Is there some other way to inject CSS and a bit of JavaScript into the help files so that they will be properly rendered on the remote installations?
