I press popular > An unknown error occurred
I press newest > An unknown error occurred
I press Recently updated > An unknown error occurred

... in youtube videos and everywhere on self hosted instalations ... they click on plugins/add new and there are downloaded from internet and listed ... popular ... newest ... but I only get and error message

http://www.host.sk is the name ot the webpage host server.

can you hellp me ? is it because of the host server ... and on other host servers it works flawlessly ?

Try deactivating all of your existing plugins and then see if it works.

Also, in your dashboard, go to Settings > Media and make sure that your upload path is wp-content/uploads

Note that there shouldn't be a slash before, or after it.

It could be a server configuration issue. If you have access to the server error logs, try looking through them for clues. Otherwise, contact your hosts.

I started getting this error after I made a change directly to the options table in the database. I cured the issue by simply saving each of the settings pages in the admin panel.
