    Hi all,
I just transferred my WordPress site from one cPanel host to another cPanel host under the same domain name.
I imported my database properly via phpMyAdmin and transferred all files and folders.

The home page of the website is shown properly.

However, when I go to any other page, i get the following error:
[an error occurred while processing this directive]

I disabled all plugins, I created a new test page, I updated WordPress but I still get the same error.

    Can anyone help, please?

For some reason, after some minutes, the website works fine…

I had the same problem after my web hosting company moved my account to a new server. On a hunch, I went into Settings/Permalinks, changed my permalink style to “Numeric”, clicked “Save Changes”, then changed my permalink style back to what it was before (“Post name”, in my case), and clicked “Save Changes” again. That solved the problem. I didn’t have to disable any plugins.

I think it has something to do with the .htaccess file (maybe permissions were set incorrectly and this resets the permissions?)

I had some additional problems that resolved themselves after a short period of time… perhaps the cause is DNS propagation delay?

Thanks a bunch Jacob for the permalinks tip. Had the same issue as resurfacer, worked like a charm.

Changing the permalink style to something else, then back again, did the trick. Thanks Jacob.
