    Might be this:

    Q. I just tried to upload several media file and my browser crashed when it got to the “Crunching” part.

It is possible your system doesn’t support the Flash uploader or needs an upgrade to your Flash Player. Dion Hulse also wrote the the No Flash Uploader plugin to disable the Flash uploader.

    Thanks!

It settled and is working on FIREFOX, but Internet Explorer still does not work.

Is this bug is corrected in the next version or will I have to make any changes in my hosting?

Your problem might be solved by Trac Ticket 6443.

That ‘fix’ will be in 2.5.1

Well, I tried all of the above methods, and none worked for me. I used the No Flash Uploader plugin, I modified the .htaccess file, and I made sure the upload path was set correctly. I cleared my cache several times, I even re-installed Flash on my PC. None helped me.
The interesting part is that until now, I was logging in to several sites using wordpress 2.5 and I wrote articles and uploaded images with no trouble.
I use the latest version of Firefox, so I don’t think it’s the browser’s fault.
    Please help…

Nobody? hmmm At least does anyone know when wp 2.5.1 will be released? Since I can`t get anything to work with 2.5…

    Anyone tried this http://mattkern.com/an-error-occurred-in-the-upload-please-try-again-later/

My wordpress works out of the box, but on sites hosted on a sub domain I see the error mentioned in this post. I upload with IE7 and it too throws the error but does upload the image. And then I switch to Firefox and insert the image into the post.

This worked for us, via our web host’s cpanel. Here are the steps to follow.

This is great… I updated to 2.5.1 and the error is still there. Thanks alot 🙁
