JLueze - thanks for creating this plugin.
I was hoping to somehow call the images from my S3 Amazon account. So I clicked "Set Featured Image" then selected the URL tab. Then I enter the S3 url of an image but the box never seems to reconise the url or image. The circle just keeps spinning instead of giving it a tick which it would normally do in a second or so.
So I can't get further than this stage.
Hope you can help.

Hi Dave, the featured images are generated by WordPress when you upload them to the media library, so they have to be stored locally within WordPress.

We coded a solution to this. It's not available as a plugin yet, but it will be. Currently I am running the non-pluginized code on my site. I'll post here when we make a plugin out of it.

Yes - it is. At least to me. I dislike the media library so much I never use it, and so I've been doing without auto generated thumbnails on my sites until now.
