   I just installed a widget to showcase some books, and I was trying to get my free Associate number so that I could get commission for when my site visitors clicked into my book selections and bought one, and I learn that North Caroliners and Rhode Islanders are excluded from participating in Amazon's Associate program.

   WHAT!?!?!?

   Is there a similar widget that someone can recommend for another book site that allows you to showcase books for a similar commission as Amazon offers the other forty eight states?

   I'm not going to link anyone to Amazon for business if they're going to discriminate against me for my residency. Bastards!

   For those of you who might be interested, I found this article explaining what's up with Amazon ending its associate program in NC and RI. It appears N. Carolina just passed legislation to tax all internet click-throughs. That bites for those of us hoping to generate few pennies from a blog.
