Am I really out of memory

    I am running word press 2.0.5, my database is about 4mb in size and i am running the plugins akismet, tantan, wp-cache, and WP-EMail. My stats say that I have 275045 requests yesterday on my site. I host with dreamhost.

    Suddenly yesterday, my blog was loading very slowly, sometimes it would just give me a 500 error.

    I went to dreamhost for tech support and they told me that wordpress was not loading because i was hitting the memory max limit. I have never gotten a memory error message and I did a phpinfo file and it says my max memory is 90M.

    I know my blog gets lots of readers, but I find it hard to believe that my blog is having a memory problem. I have around 360 posts and no comments.

    Are there any thoughts on why this is happening? Am I really out of memory??

    This is a pretty regularly occuring issue. Look here. In summary, look for a new host.

    For the record, I have been running a number of WP blogs (admittedly not with nearly as many page requests) on Dreamhost for over 3 years and never had a problem other than “standard” downtime.

    hi i just wanted to close this and post the resolution, my wordpress was not out of memory, my site was hacked.

    My DB had been exposed to a SQL injection attack. This contributed to the slow query response time.
