Hi

I am getting an internal sever error:

Latest Activity

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@homelandart.ie and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I think I may be getting hacked. Can you guys have a look at my error logs and please advise? (they are attached below). I'm not very technical so I dont really know what I'm looking at. Thanks.

Does those files really not exist? Did you check if your WordPress directory structure is intact?

Well you may have been hacked or something did wrong with the codes.. Do you remember what did you do last before it corrupts? Ask your hosting company that you are facing a problem and they can help you with their backups...

This file definitely does not exist.

I didn't touch any of the files in the blog folder...ever.

When it says that various files in the blog folder are "writable by group"..does this mean that I need to change the permissions on the folders / files?

Yes. It looks like your host is running suPHP which, by default, doesn't like .php files with group write permissions. Setting the mode to remove group write permissions is probably your best bet (chmod g-w), unless you have some special reason to have the write permissions on. In general, it's good practice to disable write permissions for group/world on your files/directories except for special cases like upload directories.

Your logs shows that the server is complaining that your .php files have the group write permissions set. File permissions are set in three classes: (u)ser, (g)roup, and (o)thers; where each class can have three possible permission modes: (r)read, (w)rite, and e(x)ecute. To remove the group write permissions for a given file, you can use the chmod command in the following way: chmod g-w /home/user/path/filename.php.

I just got an email from my host saying that my blog was generating a huge amount of CPU usage. He had a closer look and saw that a mod was installed called "Optimal Title". He looked through these files and found malicious code. He deleted it for me.

I'll still go ahead and remove the group write permissions.

I guess i have the same problem, my host also suspend my blog because of a huge amout of CPU usage. Theh wrote;

This domain was suspended as it was causing high usage with PHP process (php-cgi.exe) Your domain had 12 - 15 PHP processes running constantly for about 15 minutes. We continued to monitor with your domain still using a high amount of PHP resources.

Do you have any idea what is the reason of that problem ?
