I've currently got a WP blog running at a webhost I'm about to abandon. In the process of moving the blog to my new host (The domain will remain the same) I've backed up my database using phpMyAdmin.
However, the version of phpMyAdmin at the old host is generating erroneous or strangely formatted dumps that will not properly import at my new host, which uses a much more up to date version of phpMyAdmin.
I had this exact same issue with a PhpBB site that I also moved from this existing host to my new host - the .sql file was badly formatted.
I'm not fluent enough with the .sql file to edit it accordingly so that it will import properly, which is what I had to have done to the PhpBB .sql dump in order to make it work.
Is there a plugin that will import directly from my existing WP installation to my new installation at the new host?
Unfortunately the backup plugin doesn't appear to work for me due to a path issue - it's not referencing my domain at the old host correctly, and as such errors out.
