Alternate Header/Footer for different pages in the blog

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me understand how to use an alternate header and footer for specific pages of the wordpress blog. I would like to be able to switch out my header graphic, and remove an image from the footer of the page on a few specific pages as they would be irrelevant.

Is it possible? If it is possible is it going to be a lot of coding overhaul?

If anyone could help me I’d greatly appreciate it!
