First: great plugin! Second, is there a way to include alt and title tags for event/location image thumbnails (the ones showing through #_EVENTIMAGE{x,y} and #_LOCATIONIMAGE{x,y})?

I'm aware of the option <img src="#_EVENTIMAGEURL" width="100" height="100" border="0" alt="#_EVENTNAME" title="#_EVENTNAME">, but this would use the original sized image and scale it while I'm looking to use the thumbnail image specifically.

(Not sure if it's relevant, but I'm using the setting "use the default WordPress thumbnail generator" instead of the TimThumb option.)

Update: the alt tag is already there (apologies), that leaves title tag question.

Update: solved by adding http://www.transformationpowertools.com/wordpress/title-attribute-for-post-thumbnail to childtheme functions.php as it wasn't a events manager setting, but a WordPress featured image setting.

I wouldn't want to add a title there, as duplicating the alt info may not be what everyone wants, however, I like the idea of making #_EVENTIMAGEURL{100,100} an accepted placeholder.

that'll take some time for us to get round to it now though, so I suggest you add a snippet to search/replace text (e.g. find alt=") and add your title that way. See our tutorial for an example - http://wp-events-plugin.com/tutorials/modifying-placeholder-default-information/
