Hi, all
I just do a wordpress 2.9.1 auto upgrade and final installation message is successful. The dashboard show 'You are using WordPress 2.9.1', but I still get a 'update to 2.9.1' button in dashboard and 'WordPress 2.9.1 is available! Please update now' on top of screen. This also happened when upgrade to 2.9. What can I do to resolve this?
Thanks,
Install the Core Control plugin and use that to 'check for updates'. Remember doing that back at 2.8.4
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/core-control/
Core Control plugin did not help. I use it to do 'check for updates' several times but situation remains. I finally get rid of this problem and post it here, hope it helps.
I have the following line defined in wp-config.php
define ('WPLANG', 'zh_TW');
but I found that wordpress installation did not have any language file. So I change the above line to
define ('WPLANG', '');
and let wordpress do auto upgrade again. Now all the warnings disappeared.

Just push that button, shortly after it says, your system is already updated and the message "WordPress 2.9.1 is available! Please update now"
disappears.
