Allowing Contributers To Only Post To One Category (10 posts)

I'd like to allow people to sign up and add blog posts to one category but they only go into draft mode, then I can pick and choose the best to be shown on the main site, however I don't want them seeing the full category structure of my site, i only want them to be able to see the "user written posts" catagory

looks good however when I limit the cats and log in as a contributer, I can still see the other categories when I write a post

I am afraid somebody will have to update it to make it work with 2.3.x :(

You can try Fresh Post with Role-Manager as it recommends in the directions. This worked for me.

That's absolutely not the same... Too complicated for such a minor requirement as limit cats!

sw33t, how did you use Fresh Post with Role-Manager to accomplish this? I've looked through the documentation of both but could not find anything. Although it sounds like a big workaround for something simple, i am down to use it if it works. Any help would be much appreciated!
