Hey, my website is http://www.xboxct.com and I want to know a way to allow only certain user levels to comment. The way the site works is, you need to do a couple of things before you are a totally approved user. I don't want the unnaproved users to be able to comment. I want it to say a small message where the comment box should be. How do I do this? Thanks in advance.

Maybe there is no easy answer for your question. I can't really recall any solution that would limit the ability to post a comment on a blog by the user level. There are plugins that will limit the ability to publish a post/entry but I think that's not what you want...

I'm sure you can...it might take a fair bit of code though. I could even just settle with a message overtop of the comment box that only low level users see. Anyone know how to do that?

how many users are you talking about?
Have you looked at the "Role Manager" plugin? You can set your own definitions for the roles - create your own too. if you want to set a role to be able to post comments, it'll let you do that.

That doesn't help. There is no option for allowing people to post.
