    Would be great if you applied classes to the different elements of the output so that I could easily apply custom styling via CSS...

    Hi manuelkuhs,

    This featured is slotted for version 2.0 which is currently in progress.
    Until version 2.0 is out, the only way to do this is to use the built in filters.

    Hi manuelkuhs,

    Version 2.0 has been released with now outputs an id to each link for styling purposes.

    Hope this helps!

    great thanks!

    I haven't checked if this is what you've done, adding unique ids is of course fantastic fo styling specific links, but I was actually looking for something more general, such as having the following your plugin code (over-simplified):

    <h3 class="simple_links_title"><?php simple_links_title(); /></h3>
    <span class="simple_links_description"><?php simple_links_description(); /></span>
