Well Admin can always go to Post > Edit the post and click on “Allow comments” box and reply to a Comment, then disable it again after commenting. And the Authors of the own posts can do the same.

Not with posts that “close after x days”. You’d have remove the option of closing after x days affecting all site posts.
And even then, if it was possible to do so that way, that’s quite a big hassle. :s

I wish there was a feature to enable admin/authors to comment on closed comment posts.
I cant find any plugin to do so, would be great as a plugin too.
