   I have installed WordPress 2.7 using Apache 2.2, PHP 5.2.5, & MySQL 5.1 on my own Windows XP machine. I get the login page and I can login. But if I go to http://machinename:8000/blog/wp-admin/admin.php in Firefox & IE the page shows up blank. What is the problem?

   http://machinename:8000/blog/wp-admin/admin.php

   you should get a blank page as that is not allowed to open in a browser.
   What happens if you go to
   http://machinename:8000/blog/wp-admin/index.php

   if you still get a blank page you are likely having php errors or you are low on php memory

   It just sits there trying to connect to my machine. Everything is running on my machine.
