All sitemaps working except page-sitemap.xml

    Hello,

    I can see there have been various posts in the past about sitemaps. I am not getting a 404 error and the plugin is generating the sitemaps.

    Google is also finding the general sitemap-index.xml but it gives an error for page-sitemap.xml only: “Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.”

    I do not think this is an error on Google side, because in fact when I try to access the sitemap myself I just get the homepage. I can, however, access all the other sitemaps.

    I’ve been trying to sort this out for some time and any help would be much appreciated
