[resolved] All Products Link Incorrect with permalinks (22 posts)

    Hi

I am using permalinks on my site and I suspect this is causing a problem with the All Products link.

When I view a product: http://test.dalmatianwelfare.co.uk/wpcproduct/2013-desk-calendar/ I can see the all products link takes me back to the same product page URL.

How would I fix this so it goes back to the all products page (http://test.dalmatianwelfare.co.uk/shop/)

    Thanks

Thanks for reporting this... I thought it was fixed in latest version but seems like several users still having problems...

    @oz-uk
    1. Can you please send me a link to your site with the problem showing so I can check it out?

    2. You've raised this issue now in 3 separate threads which just makes it harder for me to provide support. Please don't open any more threads on this topic, if you have further information you can post in back here in this thread. Thanks :-)

Hi, if you look here i have added some dummy products and activated permalinks. i thought that might have something to do with it but it doesnt seem to. Would really love to get this going coz it does exactly what i need it to and looks so cool. Thanks for your efforts.

If you are reporting a problem please can you send a link to your site so I can see it? The more examples I can see the easier it is for me to identify the problem Thanks guys

Trying to use WP-Catalogue on a fresh setup of:
    WP 3.5.1
Roots theme. It is not an ordinary WP theme (uses relative url structure).
    Yoast SEO

Added links to a category and a product - both are not working (404). Links are so:
    http://localhost/mysite/wpcproduct/mytestproduct/
    http://localhost/mysite/wpcproduct/mytestcategory/

    Any thoughts? :)

ps.: the siplicity and features of this plugin are very good - just what i wanted. One thing is "to do" - make it work properly. :)

My site is built locally so link won't help much.

I wound up rigging it to work by going in to the php and changing a few lines where it asks for $catalogue_page_url to option 'siteurl'....

I don't "do" PHP so this is probably some sort of sin. But it works...I assume only because I have the catalogue installed on the home page of the site. When there is a better solution, I will do this the right way.

Thanks so much for your efforts. Its a very handy plugin.

    Hello,

I just installed the plugin, added some categories and sub categories.
Added a product to test but i keep getting 404 error for product page and any categories page.

    Product: http://xtreme-4x4.com/wpcproduct/bull-bars-frontal-protection/
    Category: http://xtreme-4x4.com/wpccategories/arb/

Is this the same problem as in this thread or a different issue?

    (very new at this) :)

    Thanks
    M

    @xmar1

I don't think its the same issue. Looks like a permalink issue though... can you try resetting your permalink structure via Settings > Permalinks ? (you can just change it to a different structure then back to %postname% or whatever you want)... let me know if this fixes it.

    Thanks

    Hi EnigmaWeb

I just installed your plugin and I think it's great but I keep getting the page error for the products. Also, when I try to upload pictures, the images address doesn't appear in the input bad after I click Upload.

    My site is http://novadiagscience.com/product-range/

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I went through the thread and realised if I change the permalinks to the default, the pages would then appear. It's not perfect, but at least it works.

Maybe this can be fixed in the next update?

    Thanks.

My installation is working fairly well same one issue that I'd like some feedback on please. I can link to each category but I'd like to be able to link to the Main catalog page and keep getting a 404 error.

    Site: http://rcsdemo2.com/tudor/
    Categories: http://rcsdemo2.com/tudor/wpccategories/used-rental-equipment/
    http://rcsdemo2.com/tudor/wpccategories/articulated-trucks/
    http://rcsdemo2.com/tudor/wpccategories/rigid-trucks/
When I try to visit the top level at http://rcsdemo2.com/tudor/wpccategories/ I get the 404 error. How can I correct this?

It looks like the top level of your catalogue is at http://rcsdemo2.com/tudor/wpccategories/articulated-trucks/
Or in other words, that is the page you pasted the WP Catalogue shortcode?

I have not pasted a short code anywhere. Please provide me with a link to documentation that provides information on the short code you are referring to.

    Installation instructions: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-catalogue/installation/

You need to pick a page that you want the catalogue to display on, then paste the shortcode on that page. Your whole catalogue will appear there and the structure will autaomtically display based on what you've got set up in the WP Catalogue plugin.
