   If you click on any of my post title links. You will get a "not found" error, even though all of the posts exist.

   http://www.beyourowndetective.com/blog

   I have absolutely no idea what's causing this problem and it wasn't doing it last week.

   Problem fixed - please disregard. I checked and found out I had /index.php set for "Category base" under Permalinks. Removing it resolved the problem.

   Should "Category base" normally be left blank?

   the only time you add the index.php, as I understand it, is when you your host has turned off mod_rewrite

   otherwise, the category base is if you want a custom lead in, /thebomb/2006/post-title/
