I've installed WP once before using other hosting (evil godaddy)a while back and thought this would be easier (now on 1and1) but seems like I've done something wrong.

I'm pretty sure I've set up MySQL and the wp-config.php file fine (take a look, http://www.alidman.com/arg.jpg), but when i go to install.php (or anyother .php), i just get a 404. phpMyadmin seems to be working fine.

If you guys could help out I'd apprecite it, i thought i knew what i was doing but obviously i need some help.

Could we have alist to the installation site/directory?
It helps us work things out :)

ended up calling 1and1 and there was a minor issue with my setup, they got it patched up for me and it's seems like it'll be alright.

    Thanks anyway.

Hi. I'm using GoDaddy but I'm having 404 problems, and I think the SQL data and uploads are all correct. Since you've (alidman) used GoDaddy before and clearly had issues, do you have any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

scoopa, be sure to search the forums for godaddy, there have been several lengthy threads regarding installation on godaddy. One issue I know I've read about is the failure to request unix hosting, in which case PHP isn't configured on Windows hosting. Double check your plan and make sure you've got it. Also make sure you have the correct path to your database, as not all godaddy installs are localhost.
