This is my first wordpress site, and first wordpress theme import! All is going very well except for one issue...

The theme is obviously installed and working, because pages like this show up, and I can see my work in the new theme:
    http://www.larchmontmd.com/doctors/
    http://www.larchmontmd.com/services/

However, no matter what I do, "home" won't become my new version of home. It's still the old version.

I'm at a loss, and a little nervous to play around with the instructions here.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Oh, and I'll add one thing. On the /wp-admin/customize.php page, the preview is just a white screen. No preview.

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

It's called HealthPress and I bought it from ThemeForrest.

FWIW, it has already worked once. As I mentioned, I'm new to this. So I initially installed everything at root.com/new. Every URL was preceded by /new. Then I realized: I didn't know I was going to undo that.

So I uninstalled wordpress on the site, reinstalled it, and started from scratch at the root directory. It worked when everything lived under /new. But now...not.

I'm sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme's developer/vendor. We do not support commercial products here.

Thanks, Esmi. I didn't realize that, but might some other users/members be able to help? Like Marco!

Hi, Marco. No, I didn't do that. To learn how, should I just google "wordpress theme remove index.html from the main directory via ftp"?

If something goes wrong with that process, what's a worst case scenario? Will I seriously fubar anything?
