   I just finished upgrading from 2.3 to 2.6 and all the tags on my site have disappeared, on the Dashboard it says it detects all the tags and when I click the link it takes me to the /wp-admin/edit-tags.php page where all the tags are invisible yet it still detects how many times I've used them, I've tried restoring my old database with no success...I had around 400 tags so it's quite frustrating to think I'd have to rewrite them all :S, I did a google search and found someone had a similar problem but with categories http://www.samirkamble.com/categories-disappeared-while-upgrading-to-wordpress-26/

   does anyone know what I can do?

   Well Version 2.3 already had native tagging so if you have restored your 2.3 database, I would consider rebuilding my database tables, deactivating all plugins, then try the upgrade again.
