Hi,
My site, http://www.banskoblog.com may have been hacked but not sure as I am on 2.7 version of wordpress.
All my posts suddenly disappeared. I have tried disabling plug ins, but not sure how to reset perma links.
Any ideas help urgently required.
thanks
Lance
have you alter your loop code?
Resetting permalinks can be done by changing permalink structure to a new one and then back to your favorite again.
Did you check your database using PHPMyadmin? Is the content still there?
admin - settings - permalinks

delete your wordpress .htaccess
regenerate permalinks
admin - settings - permalinks
You can use PHPMyadmin from Cpanel most of the time. Or they gave you a direct link to it. Ask your hoster.
PHPMyadmin is a nice GUI to navigate through your database and check all its tables. In this case to check for possible hacks or missing content.

I'm having the exact same problem. I have no idea how to check my database to see if the content is still there, though I am in my PHPMyadmin now.
Use the search function and enter a word you entered into an article recently. Select all tables and click go.
Or open the table containing all content. wp_posts. Select it and click browse.

Either way it's given me this error message:
#145 - Table './ronnlynn_wrdp1/wp_posts' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
That doesn't sound good...but how do I repair it?

Thanks for your help...I was able to look up that error message and find out how to repair mySQL...it's working now! Thanks for the help...I'm off to create a backup!
There is a button to repair or restore the table in PHPMyAdmin. Before you do that I would backup the database though. Just in case. You never know.
Good to hear that!
P.S. You can turn this question as resolved now

Rhand and samboll,
my problem was due to hostgator's SQL update this week. others were affected apparetly - Ronnica perhaps. They fixed it for me but they explain that:
"you can log in to your cPanel and go to databases. In there there is a button to repair databases"
so many thanks again for all your help. All resolved now
