All my images disappeared

Help! I temporarily changed the path for my media uploads and unclicked “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders.” When I changed them back, I found all the images in my library had disappeared (although they’re mostly still on the website). Any idea how to get them back? I deactivated all my plug-ins just in case, but that didn’t help.
