   I have moved wordpress to a new server, this is how I did it...

   - backedup the DB
   - backed up the files

   - imported the DB on the new server
   - copied the files over
   - updated the database name and username / password in the wp-config.php

   The URL is the same, yet the only page that works is the home page!

   Any ideas?

   Also in Apache2 logs I have:

   [Thu Nov 26 20:17:46 2009] [error] [client 78.155.138.149] File does not exist: /var/www/contact, referer:www.mydomain.com

   My site resides in /var/www/

   Shane, I have followed that guide... Still I have this problem.

   Also, all of my pages plugins etc are in place, just none of the pages work!

   you didnt follow the directions.

   UPDATE YOUR PERMALINKS.

   Hum, I still can't get it working!? I have updated my permalinks however using my custom setting of / so that posts apear like this...

   http://domain.com/contact
   http://domcin.com/foo/bar

   It does not work! I have copied and pasted the rewrite code into the vhost file still no joy...
