   Hey,

   I just upgraded my site to wordpress 2.0.2 Security Release. I followed all steps as written in upgrade guide religiously.

   Now, I am having a very serious problem. There are no linebreaks between paragraphs in my earlier posts when they are displayed. Same is true for any new posts I make. I had neatly seperated paragraphs (using newlines) while writing and it was working fine with wordpress 1.5. Now, all post appear as one single paragraph irrespective of how many newlines I enter while writing the post. It is not converting newlines into linebreaks automatically.

   I have to manually write blocks to make post have multiple paragraphs. Which is pretty stupid. Is anyone facing similar issue? Guys, please point me a direction which can explain and resolve this.

   Btw, I have tinyMCE disabled, but I dont think its related.

   Thanks for any help. I need it pretty urgently.

   Below is an excerpt from wordpress codex page here http://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_Posts

   "Use Paragraphs
   No one likes to read writing that never pauses for a line break. To break your writing up into paragraphs, use double spaces between your paragraphs. WordPress will automatically detect these and insert HTML paragraph tags into your writing."

   So, this conversion is not happening automatically since I upgraded to wordpress 2.0.2. It was happening when I had wordpress 1.5.

   Please help.

   More info:

   So, I compared my backuped database to the new one. Posts have \r\n intact in the database. Problem is that wordpress is not spitting post content with <p> when its supposed to.

   Ok, after getting no responses and also seeing that people here seem to be having the reverse problem (of wordpress adding more than expected linebreaks), I decided to re-upload the whole installation again. It worked! So, probably the problem was that some files didn FTP correctly last night.
