All italics and deleted pages still visible (5 posts)

    Just going in to update a blog I rarely use (but will now). Somehow in the last year, all fonts have been turned to italic. I've already been through the last few posts and removed all em tags, but that did not change anything.

    In addition, I deleted the two pages other than my homepage, but they still show up on the blog with the starter text. They are no longer visible in the admin panel so I cannot edit or delete them.

    Can you help with these two problems?

    Unfortunately, I'm really sorry to say that your site has been hacked - if you look at the code of the page, you'll see this under the body tag:

    <body class="custom">

    <div id='hideMe'> <p><i> <a href="http://k/">payday loans uk</a>...

    A lot of sites had this hack happen a few months ago - and the text turned italic was part of the hack.

    Using an outdated version of WP is a major security risk - so that may have been a factor - you really need to get your site updated ASAP.

    To deal with the hack, these will help you:
