• I’ve been using this plugin for more than a year with no issues, however something strange came up yeaterday causing massive downtime..

    According to Dreamhost Support;

    Your hosting server has been overloaded a bit too frequently of late so I am looking into the cause and it appears to be over utilization of the
    CPU processing time by a few users, one of which is yours:

    ‘ME’ 68681 5.35% 310142.55re 0.23%
    471.06cp 22.99% 0avio 130887402k*sec

    In a nutshell, the anything over 150cp or so can cause load and stability problems so being at almost 200cp puts you over that threshold (that level of usage is not really appropriate for shared hosting). I did some investigating as it’s quite often a bad IP or bot
    (http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Finding_Causes_of_Heavy_Usage) and noticed you are using WordPress so I looked for a plugin which commonly causes
    issues and sure enough:

    serv: 09:11 AM# find . -name ‘all-in-one-seo*’| wc -l
    5

    It seems you were running 5 instances of this plugin under the ‘ME’
    user!

    I’ve disabled these by renaming them, but as they were causing problems
    and are against our TOS (Material Products, Section 8 on
    http://dreamhost.com/tos.html ) I’ll need you to completely remove them.

    This is so weird, I have only 1 active blog in this hosting that receives regular traffic and the All-In-One-SEO plugin is present in only this one wordpress installation. How could there be 5?!

    I need to solve/identify if this is a known issue with this specific plugin, as the hosting provider is going to bar me from using shared hosting if the “heavy usage” issue persists.

    If the plugin is indeed badly written as to be blacklisted by Dreamhost, what’s the next best SEO plugin for wordpress?

    Thank you!
