• Ok, I can see that this plugin integrates nicely with Genesis framework.

The small (or maybe not so small) issue that bugs me is that for example – there’s this Minimum child theme I’m working on at the moment, and it has a Portfolio template build in, making it a custom post type as well.

Now, I get the Options from Genesis itself to customise any SEO settings for ‘Portfolio’ – it’s SEO title, description, keywords.

Once I’ll activate All in One SEO plugin, those setting stop to work and I kind of am unable to find a way to SEO that custom post typed ‘virtual page’ called Portfolio using All in One SEO…

    What’s the trick?

Or maybe (as I read in many places) Genesis Framework is so awesome with it’s build in SEO taht I shouldn’t be using any additional plugins for it?

Hope I’m clear enough with ‘portfolio’ issue, let me know if not, I’ll try to clarify more.

    Any tips welcome.

    Regards

    Hi Kramarz,

It all depends on if this is a Custom Post Type singular post or a Custom Taxonomy archive page. If it’s the first then you can use All in One SEO Pack to set meta tags. If it is the latter then we are currently working on support for Custom Taxonomies.

Yea, was missing the right words to name it, Custom Taxonomy archive Page it is then indeed.

    Ok, thanks, will wait.

Also, in answer to your question about SEO in Genesis, yes their onboard SEO is good but the problem with configuring your SEO in a theme instead of a plugin is that if you ever change your theme you’ll lose everything, whereas if you do it in a plugin it’s independent of any theme changes.
