  • Seems to be a bug when you add the events in Calendar View. Happens here with me too.

Try adding events using ‘Add New’ instead of from Calendar View. The times show up correctly for me when adding events using ‘Add New’.

Not something I’ve noticed, and the admin calendar seems to function correctly. Can you detail how you reproduce the problem?

I am using the non pro version. When in Calendar View, I click on a day and fill in the box, then Publish. After that the edit event page shows up for the event I added and the all day checkbox is checked by default. I uncheck it and fill in the times for both start and end to something that is not 12am.

No matter what times for start and end time I enter for the event, the calendar always shows the event as 12am-12am (same in both the admin calendar and the site and the event details page also show 12am-12am). This only occurs when adding event using the admin Calendar.

    Am using wordpress 3.8.3

Yes, I’m seeing the exact same behavior js.ca describes in his post.

Beyond that, if I edit an existing Event with a time already set and update the time, then that updated time does not appear on the calendar or the event’s page.

So it seems that what’s actually broken is updating the time once it’s been set.

    I’m on non-pro EO 2.8.0 and WordPress 3.9.1.

After a little more testing, I was able to figure out this when editing the events:

    1. Update ONLY the event start or end time – does not update the time
    2. Update ONLY the event start or end date – updates the date
    3. Update BOTH the event start date and start time – updates both the date & time
    3. Update BOTH the event end date and end time – updates both the date & time

So one way around the issue is to create the event, update its date to the previous day with the correct time, and then update it again back to the correct date. This will preserve the time you set when updating both the date and time.

Ah, I know what’s happened. I’ll post an update in the next few days.

    Alternatively, revert to 2.7.* – it’s a bug introduced in 2.8.0.
