   I just went live with a site and for some reason, (i don't yet have askimet installed) - all comments are going straight to the spam folder.

   How do I keep people's comments from going to the spam folder?

   Akismet is available by default in all new WP installations. Do you mean that you haven't activated it yet?

   Do you have anything entered under Comment Moderation or Comment Blacklist in Admin/Settings/Discussion?

   yep - i don't have askimet 'activated' yet. - that's what i meant.

   i do have some words in the blacklist, but even simple comments with no words from the blacklist are being thrown into the spam filter.

   thoughts?

   Try getting rid of everything in the blacklist and see if that helps.

   do you have blank lines in the list?

   badword
   badword 3

   badword 2
