As of today, every comment is being marked as spam by Akismet. I have read of this happening to other people, but the only response that solved it when a person who worked for Wordpess did something to fix the problem.
Any ideas?

seems to be working now. For anyone else who runs into this problem. go to your plug ins and Deactivate Akismet and then reactivate it. That solved the problem for me
