Alignment of Header / Banner Ads, adjusting header location

    Hi, this is my first WP development. I’m having trouble figuring out where to put my ad code and how to adjust the location slightly. If I drop the ad code in ‘header right’ widget, it gets cutoff and moves my site header so that it’s no longer flush with my menu bar. I could use some suggestions on how to make the site header and banner ad fit better on this project.

    Hi Andy (killer name),

    First off, I’d recommend creating a child theme, it will save you a lot of headaches in the future.

    Second, I really like using firebug for these kind of css issues, as you’ll want to be modifying the style.css in your child theme most likely.

    Oh, hi thanks for the reply. I forgot to clarify that I am using the News child theme in the Genesis framework. I am looking into firebug as we speak. Thanks for the tip. cheers.

    Hi, thanks for your help with this. I have gotten the hang of firebug. Now I am wondering exactly how to edit a plugins css within WordPress. For example, I need to change the width and caption on the carousel. I have found how to do it within firebug but now not sure how to change it within the Plugin’s css file.
