Alignment and disappearance of sidebar in IE

    What would cause a disappearance of my sidebar in internet explorer?

    Also, i’ve been messing around blindly (having never edited a wordpress layout before) and have come up with this (OBVIOUSLY not complete)-

    When you click on one of my recent posts from the sidebar, it takes me to that post, however it shifts it over to the right and gets rid of the sidebar. how do i keep the sidebar and where do I edit the alignment of this page? the same happens when you try to comment etc

    okay, i’ve sorted out half of it! the alignment and the sidebar showing on single posts.

    but still no sidebar in IE and perhaps other browsers..
