JSJ Gallery Slideshow
[resolved] Aligning the gallery (6 posts)

Firstly, what a fantastic plugin, thank you so much for creating it.

Could you please let me know how to align the slideshow to the right of my page?

I realise that this is probably a very simple fix, but I've failed to find an appropriate answer so far. I tried wrapping it in div tags but this only effected the next/previous links.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you post a link about what you mean?

Does it look different that it looks in the example?

Sorry for not explaining better. The slideshow appears exactly as I want it thanks, but its stuck to the left side of the page. As seen here.

How can I move it to the side, a bit like this - except aligned exactly with the right margin? I've moved it here by placing it in a text column, but this leaves a gap between the right of the photo and the right side of the page.

Honestly, this is more complicated that it looks. The main reason is that you would probably need to put that slideshow outside of the main content block, which mean that you have to do_shortcode manually, and also find a way to get the gallery outside of the content block.

All that being said, something like that position:absolute or position:relative; might work, but this is really beyond the scope of this forum since this is in now way a problem with the plugin.

Let me know if you figure it out!

Thanks so much for your prompt reply, it makes such a difference when the designers of plugins take an active role like this.

Again, I may not have explained myself perfectly because I'm pretty sure I don't want to leave the main content block. There is a white border between the white content area and the coloured background - and it was the margin of the main content area that I want(ed) it aligned with. Essentially, like this.

Like I mentioned before, the best answer I've found is to use a plugin that adds columns to the page and then place the gallery inside one of the columns. Then by adjusting the size of the images to be exactly the same width as the column it all lines up equally and properly. I'm using WP Easy Columns if someone is interested in doing the same.

So I think I've found an answer to my problem, and it's nice and simple too ;)

    Excellent! Marking as resolved then.

I'm glad you appreciate the involvement. A lot of people take it for granted!

If you like the plugin and enjoy using it, don't hesitate to write a review :)
