    Hi, just wondering how I can align my top nav and logo so that they are vertically even . Right now the logo is above the nav menu. Also, how do I add html to my php in functions so that i can style snippets?
    thanks

    Need a link to your site please.

    Typically, you'll need to write php functions (as in the Snippets). Take a look at some of the php snippets and you'll see how it's done.

    Hi I have looked at and used some of the snippets and have applied my own styles to the html in the php, with no success.

    If you don't wanna use socials and tagline in the header, just don't display them, for example via css:

    .navbar-inner .social-block,
    .navbar-inner .site-description {
    display: none;
    }

    So remove:
    .navbar-inner .social-block,

    You can do this easier using the Customiz'it! button and working through the different panels to check/uncheck what you need/don't need

    You have:

    .social-block a {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
        display: none;
        text-decoration: none;
        text-shadow: none;
    }

    Remove display:none; which is hiding them.
