    Hi Stefan,
    I've searched this forum for explanations to center the slideshow but my stylesheet looks different then the examples. Can you help me out with some pointers?

    The url is: http://www.gaiaevents.se

    Regards,

    David

    Hi David,

    I see you're using '.slideshow_container_0 {align: center; }' in your custom stylesheet. This CSS rule centers text, not elements like the slideshow.

    To center the slideshow change the line to this: '.slideshow_container_0 { margin: 0 auto; }'

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    I'm sorry. This is the rule you're using:

    '.slideshow_container {align: center; }'

    You should change it to this:

    '.slideshow_container { margin: 0 auto; }'

    I accidentally appended the '_0'.

    Thanx Stefan, i'm impressed by your sense of immediate service!

    Got any solutions how to get the slideshow flush with the menu bar swell?

    /David

    Stefan, I'm slightly dumbstruck here. In what template do I find the slideshow_container?

    You're welcome!

    What exactly do you mean by getting the slideshow flush with the menu bar?

    There's a space between the slideshow and the menu bar. I would like to eliminate that.

    Fixed the align issue with your directions. Thank you again.

    You'll have to add a 'margin-top' rule. In combination with the margin rule that's already there, it would look like this:

    .slideshow_container { margin: -13px auto 0 auto; }

    I believe 13 should be the right amount of pixels to move the slideshow up.

    Hi again...

    when I tried
    .slideshow_container { margin: -13px auto 0 auto; }
    I get a "ghost line" under the slideshow. It looks like ca 5px of the top of another slide is showing at the bottom. Weird?

    That could be possible indeed, the inactive slides are stored below the slideshow.

    You should probably remove the latest adjustment and put the 'margin-top: -13px;' rule on an element containing the slideshow, in your theme. This way it should be pulled up correctly.

    Hi Stefan.
    I am using your great slideshow on Theme Pinboard, but cannot center the slideshow in sidebar-top.

    The link is http://www.expatsgames.com. And the slideshow I`ve mentioned is with name Partners (the slideshow of logos).

    Thank you for advice.

    Karolina

    The slideshow in the header of your website appears to be centered. The slideshow in the footer of your website can only be centered by adjusting the theme, as it's in a four column widget area.
