Hi all,

I have just installed this share this plugin, and I have noticed a lot of people who are using it have managed to change the colour of the links in the pop up box. I really want to do this, but just cant figure out what i need to change, I tried all kind but so far cant seem to make the links in the pop up change colour/

Does anybody know which bit I need to edit?

I have installed this plug-in and everything works nice; thanx alex!!

I just had a little problem when I was trying to remove the Social Sites tab.
I first changed its place with the email tab, but now when the user clicks on "Share" first they see the Social Sites content (while the email tab is highlighted).

I think there will be people who would like to remove the "Social Sites" tab altogether.

Is the share this link showing on static pages normal behaviour? If so does anyone know how to stop it without hardcoding it into the template.

I installed Sharethis and it's working great. The only problem I'm having is that it won't validate.

I've installed v1.4, WP 2.2, and I'm using a theme I developed that validates without Sharethis.

The error message I'm getting is:

Error Line 1233, column 47: there is no attribute "onClick"

This is what's on line 1233:

<li id="akst_tab1" class="selected" onClick="akst_share_tab('1');">Social Web</li>

This is the only error. I don't get the error on line 1234, which is the form line for the email tab.

I've tried using the default theme, and get the same error when validating, so it's not a theme-based problem.

Any ideas gratefully accepted!

Never mind. I edited share-this.php and change onClick to onclick and now all is well.

The plugin is being used for all of my main posts but not for my sideblog posts. Is there a way I can have the "Share This" at the end of each sideblog post once you click its permalink? Currently, it doesn't appear on any of the sideblog posts.

I'm still in the process of setting up my blog and ran into the same problem as a couple of month ago:

I have this plugin installed and everything is working with the social bookmarking sites, however, I can't get the "E-mail" functionality to work. It just doesn't deliver to my inbox or other inboxes. I turned off all plugins and used the default theme but no luck for me.

Unfortunately I missed the solution. Would be great if you could help me out another time.

First of all, I really like the plugin.
However I've encountered a problem.
I'm running WP2.2.1 with the HemingwayEx-theme.
For some reason the "Open Navigation" in the theme malfunctions in IE, but not in FF.
It seems that the javascript-function to open/close the navigation uses the same call as Share it.
The theme have this:

<a href="void(0);" title="Show navigation">Mer info</a>
<a href="void(0);" title="Hide navigation">Skjul info</a>

And Share it:

<a href="void($('akst_form').style.display='none');"><?php _e('Close', 'alexking.org'); ?></a>

So my guess is that the "javascript:void" has something to do with it. When I disable Share it, it's ok, but I'd love to use that plugin..

Any ideas on how to workaround this?

Problem solved by using another plugin..

I was wondering if someone could advise me on how to incorporate Share-This to the end of my sideblog entries. I'm using Kate Gasis' excellent Sideblog WordPress plugin but when I bring up an individual post there is no Share-This footer present like there is with my main entries.

I installed the share-this plugin and it was working fine but it would cut off another voting plugin I had (show up in the middle of it) with the automatic positioning.

So I set the auto stuff to false and positioning the code as in the instructions and it still worked great.

The problem I had with that was that when I checked validation it gave me about 40 errors - it said "id" already defined. I had the (div class="sharethis")
(?php akst_share_link(); ?)(?php akst_share_form(); ?)(/div) code in my main index template.

I took it out of there and put it into the single.php file and it works fine, of course there are no errors, but what I want is to have it on the main site at the bottom of each post with no errors.

Can anyone help me with how to get it to stop giving me all the id errors? I know id is supposed to be only for one thing, rather than class. I also tried changing the "id" to "class" but that totally screwed up the little box with all the icons.

I checked a single page in validation and I got 6 errors, this time (li) errors
