I'm currently using recaptcha on my website but almost on a daily basis 2-3 spambots manage to register on my website and post crappy stuff on my forums. I'm using a custom registration plugin and have the recaptcha API keys there.
Can anyone please let me know how to stop these spambots from registering. Will installing the recaptcha plugin be of any help ?
And how powerful is akismet ? Will it help me block spam and rest in peace!

Posted 4 months ago #Thank you very much. Have installed the plugin. Seems like this plugin will prevent spambots from posting crappy stuff but it will still allow them to register ,right ? If it does, then everybody i'll have to waste time deleting these newly registered bots.
1. So any way to prevent the spambots from registering?
2. If the plugin above prevents spambots from posting, is there any harm with the spambots registered on my website ?
