Sometimes during this weekend, it looks as if the Akismet sever stopped responding. Symptoms are that no spam is caught, and when I click "Recheck queue for spam", it takes longer than usual (about 40 seconds) for the request to complete, and when it returns, no spam is caught.
Do anyone else experience this (i.e. is this a problem with my blog, or is it at the Akismet server end)? If the problem is my blog, any suggestions?

OK, akismet seems to work again. I still did not know what caused the problem. tho'.

I have no idea what's up but I am getting tons of spam daily. I'm guessing akismet isn't working again...

This is happening to me big time right now. Aksimet support says it's my ISP. My ISP says it is Akismet. AND I am getting slammed by spam posts right now.

Same here. By the way: allow_url_fopen is ON. And my server does not block outbound port 80 calls.
So? How do I solve this? Is anybody having the same problem?
