anyone having an akismet issue. several sites on same server say can't reach akismet servers and i need to talk to my isp. my isp says akismet is a 3rd party vendor and my server looks ok. i sent the isp this faq link and asked if anything at their end changed last 24 hrs. any other advice ?

I checked Akismet on all of my sites spread out across two different hosting providers and various servers at each, not a single one had a problem connecting to Akismet.
I think your hosting provider must have made a change that's blocking Akismet.
