Akismet is WAY to sensitive!

    Akismet is blocking a lot of non-spam comments. right now it has blocked 50% of the comments made on the site (just opened) is there no way to change the settings to make it less strict? Or should I take it off and use another spam filter.

    The only stuff I want to block are people spamming there websites or saying things like: “Fuck you! noob.”

    Akismet checks the comment(er)s against all kinds of blacklists, so the comments blocked are mostly coming from known spammers. You can ‘unspam’ the comments and Akismet will ‘learn’ from this.
