I noticed some fun behaviour in Akismet with WordPress 2.5

Every page of spam comment shows the same 50 comments.

It doesn’t look like it’s pagerizing properly.

This is a clean version of WordPress 2.5 that I downloaded and installed a n exported copy of my blog on WordPress.com. I had to hack the export file because of the 16 MB limitation, so I’m wondering if that caused the problem or if it’s a bug with Akismet and 2.5.

    It’s broken on WordPress.com also.

Akismet works fine for me, running an upgraded version of 2.5 from 2.3.2. There was an update available for akismet recently, make sure you’re running the most up to date version.

I can confirm this same problem. I recently upgraded from WP 2.1.3 to WP 2.5. You can’t page-forward (or back) beyond the first page of 50 caught spams. I’m showing Akismet plugin version 2.1.4 running, which I believe was auto-updated right after I installed the WP upgrade; furthermore, I don’t see a more recent version on Akismet.com.

Any recommendations? I get enough daily spam that I need to check at least 2-3 pages beyond the first page.

I’m having the same problem. I’ve just been wholesale deleting them, but who knows how many legitimate messages have been thrown out with the bathwater?

I have the same problem :-(.

You da man! I applied the fix, and it worked like a charm. Thanks.

Sort of a nasty bug, and when it was reported in Bugtraq, the status was set funky — and rather rudely — as an “akismet problem, not a wordpress problem.” That kinda blew me away… *shrug* So I dug…

Gee, WP developers being rude? That’s a first [/sarcasm]. And I see that Akismet v2.1.5 was just let loose, I’m going to assume that this fix is the only thing that’s been changed, so I won’t be bothering with the upgrade there. Thanks again 112502. (Hopefully you’ll get an acknowledgment of your work.)

I dunno… I haven’t experienced that before. I couldn’t figure out why the reluctance… but… *shrug* Trunk was updated a few hours ago, then 2.1.5 came out with the exact fix and a change on the Version line. 😉 Thanks. But I doubt there’ll be any of that. *grin*
