[resolved] Ajax functions broken (6 posts)

I have today upgraded to 3.5

Now, everything that requires AJAX or Javascript on the back-end of the site is broken, including specifying publish time/date, changing whether post is public or not, dragging around widgets in widget manager and even extending/collapsing the various widget area managers. It even prevents me from going into WYSIWIG view in the post editor - it forces HTML on me, and prevents me from assigning featured images

    My site is at http://zfriendsblog.co

Try re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress 3.5 RC4. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

After upgrading to WordPress 3.5 RC4 I have the same issue, I've tried a fresh download of the files, disabling all plugins and resetting my browser but the issue still persists

okay seems it is this theme that was causing the problems:

    http://smthemes.com/xmas/

Although I don't get why a theme should affect performance of the admin panel to be honest :/

  5. If your theme (or a plugin) was doing something silly, PHP could echo out a warning -- which would screw up any JSON or XML data returned by the ajax calls.

I'd suggest checking the plaintext of the ajax responses for errors. :)
