  • Are you saying the sidebar in the Dashboard or on your site? If the dashboard, does this happen in every browser (try another one)? Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

The side bar on the webpage is gone! When I go to my dashboard and click on “Appearance” and then on “Widgets”, there is no place to drag my widgets. Before there was a place to the right of the entitled “Main Sidebar” and below that was a place that said “First Front Page Widget Area” and below that was a place that said “Second Front Page Widget Area” all of that is GONE! I did try other browsers to no avail, I did try to clean my browser cache, nada. Is there some kind of plug-in that is messing me up?

which theme are you using and give link of your site so other helps better .. πŸ™‚

Try deactivating all your plugins and resetting the plugins folder in case any are causing that problem. If still not fixed, switch to the default theme.

What theme are you currently using?

I am using a using NomNom 1.7.2 but I have tried it with Twenty Eleve, Twenty Ten and Twenty Twelve and it is all the same. I have tried both times to put a link to my site and when I post it, the link is not there

Now the whole post is a link, what about that! See I told you I don’t know anything!

It looks like that’s a child theme of twentyeleven – had you made changes to your theme files? If so, they may have been overwritten by the update.

I had not made any changes on purpose! I would just like to use Twenty Eleven. Can I just go and delete all of the plugins from the Dashboard and then load the ones that I use? Will that mess up my podcast posts with bluberry plugins?

I disabled all of the widgets and plugins! I rest the plugin folder like WPyogi said. I switched back to Twenty Eleven. Sill NOTHING!

So can you now add the widgets back in twentyeleven? When you change themes widgets don’t carry over.

Also, see if the theme site has any relevant information:

No, I can NOT add widgets! There is no “Main Side Bar”. The NomNom thing does nothing that I need to do. I have switched back to Twenty Eleven and still no sidebar the widgest area is still there, but that thing to the right that says “Main Sidebar” is not there and I can NOT drag the widgets anywhere.

Called my server and had them undo the update. That worked! Must have been a messed up update.

I have a similar issue but my dashboard side bar is gone! PLEASE HELP!!
